Paper Window Display
Foldability designed and produced a bespoke paper window display for Desso called Transitions, portraying the art of fabric pleating. The origami paper patterns had over 17,000 lines, each one meticulously folded by hand. These patterns were then used to create a wave of fabric using a process called pleating, which cascaded across the window. To see how the paper pattern was made, take a look at the behind the scenes video below. To see another paper window display we did for H&M please click here.
This film shows the making process of an origami pattern with 8,514 lines, each one folded by hand. Two patterns were made, with a total of 17,028 hand folded lines. The piece was created for a window installation commissioned by Desso for Clerkenwell Design Week 2016, to celebrate their award winning Transitions Collection.
